Feed Delivery Logistics Supervisor

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate feed projections to support efficient milling and delivery operations.
• Plan and optimize delivery schedules to maximize efficiency, including full loads, minimizing split loads, and reducing miles per trip.
• Monitor and manage field inventory levels to prevent feed outages (“feed outs”) and ensure bins remain adequately stocked.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, mill operators, supervisors, and growers to prioritize deliveries based on operational needs.
• Investigate delivery discrepancies and errors, identify root causes, recommend improvement opportunities to leadership, and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with reporting, analytics, and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Manage dispatch operations as needed to ensure timely delivery.
• Track and support key performance indicators (KPIs) such as tons per load, miles per trip, number of splits, and loads per driver.
• Supervise Feed Mill Dispatchers managing Hours of Service, driver efficiency / optimization, and performance management.

Minimum Education And Experience

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong reading, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Education And Experience

• Post-secondary education in clerical science, business, logistics, or a related field.
• Prior experience in logistics, scheduling, or feed mill operations.
• Experience with industry software (e.g., M-Tech, Beta-Raven or similar systems).
