Fee-For-Service Intensive In-Home Behavioral Health Services Clinician

About the Role

The Intensive In-Home Behavioral Health Services (IIBHS) Clinician provides assessment, treatment, crisis intervention, and case management services for children ages 4 through 24. The Clinician will foster positive working relationships with clients, families, providers, educators, and outside key stakeholders. This position implements service delivery in accordance with model standards and utilizes a strength-based, solution-focused model of care.

Responsibilities

• Conducts program-specific screening and evaluation, and formulates diagnosis in accordance with the Diagnostic Statistical Manual (DSM).
• Develops and documents clear clinical formulations, crisis and treatment plans that are individualized and measurable, created in collaboration with the client/family and others as relevant.
• Demonstrates knowledge of psychopathology and other behavioral health concerns, as well as primary modalities of psychotherapeutic intervention.
• Triages clinical emergencies and implements program-specific safety and consultation protocols.
• Utilizes best practices and evidence-based practice models where appropriate and adheres to model and program expectations.
• Provides clinical services in community settings outside of the office (e.g., homes, schools, hospitals, institutions) and other community locations as defined by the program. May transport clients to appointments or linkages as appropriate.
• Demonstrates knowledge of internal and external levels of care, referral processes, and resources. Makes clinically appropriate referrals for identified service needs in a timely manner.
• Meets direct service productivity goals as defined by the program.
• Communicates in a positive, effective manner with clients, families, and all internal and external providers.
• Attends required meetings, trainings, and quarterly meetings.
• Demonstrates knowledge of program/department/agency goals and target outcomes, and adheres to practice standards and data collection and reporting protocols.
• Documents all client-related information in compliance with agency policy and contractor requirements.
• Attends and is prepared for scheduled team supervision and weekly rounds if applicable. Seeks additional supervision or consultation as needed and follows through with supervisory directives.
• Continues to develop knowledge and understanding about the history, traditions, values, family systems, and artistic expression of groups served, using appropriate methodological approaches, skills, and techniques that reflect an understanding of culture.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Social Work; or Doctoral degree in Psychology.
• Must be licensed or license-eligible as LPCA, LMFTA, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist.
• If you are an MSW, a LMSW (permit or license) or LCSW will be required to begin employment.
