About The Role
We are seeking a mid-level Federal Tax Planning Associate with 2 to 4 years of experience to join our growing Dallas practice. This position offers high-level, sophisticated federal tax planning work within an environment that truly values teamwork, professional growth, and transparency.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on complex federal tax issues, corporate and partnership transactions, restructurings, and tax-efficient structuring.
- Draft, review, and negotiate tax-related provisions in transaction documents.
- Conduct thorough legal research and prepare legal memorandums on federal tax matters.
- Collaborate directly with partners, senior associates, and clients across practice groups.
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school; active membership in good standing with the Texas State Bar (or eligibility to waive in/transfer).
- 2-4 years of dedicated federal tax planning experience at a law firm or corporate tax practice.
- LL.M. in Taxation is preferred, but not strictly required.
- Strong analytical, drafting, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting while managing individual billable priorities.
Pay
Competitive base salary: $205,000 – $225,000 (commensurate with 2-4 years of experience).
