Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Federal Tax Manager to join our Lead Tax Services group. In this role, you will provide strategic tax consulting and compliance services to a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries. This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your technical expertise in federal taxation, grow your leadership capabilities, and play a pivotal role in the success of our clients and our firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive tax consulting and compliance services for clients in a variety of industries
- Conduct in-depth tax research, analyze findings, and advise clients on complex tax matters
- Manage and oversee tax compliance processes, including preparation and review of calculations
- Collaborate closely with clients and cross-functional engagement teams to provide integrated tax solutions
- Identify, develop, and implement innovative tax planning strategies that align with client objectives
- Lead multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely completion
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service
- Mentor, coach, and develop staff in a collaborative, high-performance team environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s in Taxation or JD/LLM strongly preferred
- Active CPA license required
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in tax with a public accounting firm, corporate environment, or a blend of both
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with proven success managing client service teams and complex projects
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop trusted client relationships
- Strong technical skills in federal tax research, compliance, and planning
Pay
A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,500.00 - $195,400.00 per year.
Schedule
This position operates in a hybrid work environment that balances remote flexibility with regular in-person collaboration. This role follows a hybrid work model for candidates located near a Crowe office. Candidates who are not within commuting distance of a Crowe office may be considered for a remote work arrangement, subject to business needs.
