Role Summary
The Federal Technical Architect is a hands-on technical leader responsible for the comprehensive design, development, and governance of high-impact digital transformation solutions. This role bridges the gap between traditional Public Sector Solutions (PSS) and the modern AI era, utilizing OmniStudio, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end technical strategy for large-scale PSS projects, ensuring seamless orchestration between Service Cloud (case management), Experience Cloud (constituent portals), and Marketing Cloud (automated journey-based communication).
- Design secure, scalable integration architectures between Salesforce Government Cloud and external Federal legacy systems using REST/SOAP, OAuth, and SAML, adhering to NIEM standards.
- Serve as the principal technical liaison between development teams and Federal stakeholders (ISSOs, EAs), mitigating risks related to performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.
- Own the CI/CD strategy for a complex multi-cloud environment, ensuring automated deployment pipelines meet stringent Federal DevSecOps and change management requirements.
- Lead a team of developers through rigorous code reviews, promoting "security-by-design" and minimizing technical debt across all Salesforce clouds.
- Stay updated with the latest Salesforce trends—including Government Cloud Plus, Service Cloud, and Agentforce—to provide innovative solutions for Federal clients.
Qualifications
- 8-10+ years of Salesforce development/architecture experience, with 5+ years specifically in Federal/Public Sector programs.
- Proven experience in architecting solutions that span Service Cloud and Experience Cloud. Familiarity with Marketing Cloud integration (Connectors, API) is highly preferred.
- Practical understanding of (or experience with) Agentforce, Einstein 1 Platform, and/or Data 360.
- Strong understanding of FedRAMP, FISMA, and Section 508/WCAG compliance.
- Proven ability to lead development teams in an Agile (Scrum/SAFe) environment.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive-level presentation skills. Strong strategic planning, governance, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex programs in cleared delivery environments.
- US Citizenship required. A willingness to attain a U.S. Security Clearance (e.g., Public Trust, Secret) as required by specific projects.
- Bachelor's degree required. Required Certifications: Salesforce Certified Application Architect and System Architect.
- PREFERRED: Salesforce Certified AI Associate, Data Cloud Consultant, Salesforce OmniStudio Consultant, and/or Developer.
