About the role
The Federal Reserve Financial Services (FRFS) at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta operates a suite of payments services including FedLine® Solutions, Fedwire® Funds and Securities, the National Settlement Service (NSS), FedCash®1, FedACH®, Check Services, and the FedNow® Service. As part of the FRFS Enterprise, this role focuses on automating operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Responsibilities
- Work with subject matter experts to gather requirements for automation
- Develop scripts using Ansible, Splunk, and Dynatrace
- Maintain automation documentation on standards, templates, and operational needs
- Schedule automated processes using Ansible Tower or similar software
- Collaborate with the automation team to continuously improve processes, drive cost reduction, and build domain knowledge
Requirements
- 0-2 years' experience for junior role | 3+ years for Software Engineer II level
- Typically requires 0-3 years web development experience
- Prefer Python, Ansible, Splunk, and/or Dynatrace experience
- AWS experience a plus
- Typically requires an Associate's Degree in Information Technology or a related field
- Collaborate with IT and business contacts for successful execution
- Work as a team player
- Willingness and passion to learn
- Good written and verbal communications skills
- Self-starter, organized, detail-oriented person
- Ability to adapt to and succeed in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Ability to multi-task
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree specializing in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), or a closely related field, from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or experience

Pay
The pay for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Schedule
This position requires onsite work at the Bank. Preferred Reserve Bank locations include Minneapolis, Kansas City, and Atlanta. The schedule is set by management.
