Summary
The Personnel Clerk performs a variety of general personnel clerical tasks in areas such as employee records, benefits, education, training, employment/staffing, compensation, employee labor relations, and equal employment opportunity/affirmative action. The Personnel Assistant may conduct surveys and update manual and automated personnel records.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform clerical and secretarial duties related to human resource tasks.
- Process identification issuance requests and issue identification badges for building and system access, as well as DoD CAC Card issuance policies and procedures.
- Conduct surveys and update manual and automated personnel records.
- Exercise discretion and limited judgment as needed.
- Operate general office equipment such as typewriters, personal computers, copiers, adding machines, and facsimile machines.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or High School equivalent education level.
- Operational knowledge and/or experience processing identification issuance requests and issuing identification badges for building and system access and DoD CAC Card issuance policies and procedures.
- Certificates of Completion proving successful completion of all required DEERS/RAPIDS Training detailed in Technical Exhibit 5 6 by the end of the Phase In Period.
- National Agency Check with Inquires (NACI) and a favorable completion of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) fingerprint check, or a eDoD-determined equivalent investigation.
- US citizen and clearable to get a Federal Clearance.
- At a minimum, possess a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Preferred minimum 2 years administrative military personnel experience.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
