For a leader in the Energy & Utilities space, this role provides business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations, strengthening responsible execution, improving decision-making, and supporting sustainable growth.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advocacy strategies for the company’s interests
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in the regulatory and legislative environment
- Represent the company in industry meetings and regulatory proceedings
- Collaborate with legal and industry experts to support advocacy initiatives
- Monitor regulatory changes and summarize key impacts on energy markets
- Lead the creation of regulatory documents and policy recommendations
- Assist leadership with strategic insights based on regulatory developments
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in legislative or regulatory affairs, energy markets, or similar fields; or 5 years with a JD
- Strong grasp of FERC regulations and wholesale electricity and natural gas markets
- Proficient in drafting regulatory comments, testimonies, and policy analyses
- Excellent communication skills tailored for diverse stakeholders, including regulators and policymakers
- Proven ability to cultivate relationships with energy market participants and government officials
- Strong strategic thinker who can foresee and react to regulatory trends
- Skilled in managing multiple complex initiatives while working independently

Pay
$149,530 – $239,250 annually
