About the role
This position will be a Project Manager with a 3-year term position. This position will be an on-site position with option for hybrid.
Responsibilities
- Perform the full range of project management cycle: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing.
- Independently lead and direct projects requiring high levels of functional integration and involving multiple disciplines to be managed.
- Develop and help execute comprehensive project strategy and communication plan relative to project scope and stakeholders; orchestrate and lead project management methodologies underlying project success.
- Cook up and manage communication and work management platforms (e.g. Slack, Jira).
- Coordinate communication and work management platforms (e.g. Slack, Jira).
- Responsible for coordinating grant-supported work including management of partnerships, convening schedules and logistics, facilitating discussions and negotiations among partner teams, authoring grant reports, and regular updates as required.
Requirements
- Education And Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of related experience in management of projects with extensive size/complexity and moderate performance risk, including project planning, scheduling, tracking, and budgeting, or combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum Knowledge, Skills And Abilities: Highly effective written and oral communication skills to address a wide variety of audiences. Ability to productively assemble, engage, and lead cross-functional teams. Demonstrated project management ability to employ integration, scope time management, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk, and procurement components. Ability to balance customer expectations with project reality. Demonstrated resilience, diplomacy, influence, relationship building, and problem solving skills in a variety of situations. Keen grasp of interpersonal and impact awareness. Depth of knowledge in technical discipline/domain needed to deliver projects.
Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certified completion of a Project Management Certificate program, or certification in process.
- Knowledge of current methods for enhanced search and discovery among digital document corpora, including semantic indexing; conceptual familiarity with agent–based AI technology frameworks.
- Familiarity with government information, especially US Federal data and document ecosystems; discoverability challenges for Federal information in a rapidly changing access environment.
