Featured Dirty Job Needs Doing
About the role
I need someone to clean and refurbish a paint room at my shop in Baxter, TN. The room uses lacquer paints that create heavy dust overspray, which has built up on the fan box and two internal fans over several years. The job involves deep cleaning the fans (removing, disassembling, cleaning, and reinstalling), cleaning the entire paint room, and replacing or sanding some stands and jigs.
Responsibilities
- Remove, disassemble, thoroughly clean, and reinstall two fans in the paint room
- Clean the fan box and the entire paint room, including hard-to-reach areas
- Inspect, sand, or replace stands and jigs used in the paint room
- Perform light woodworking tasks as needed
Requirements
- Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license
- Must have basic hand tools and cordless power tools
- Must be willing and able to handle extremely dirty, black, dusty conditions
- Must be responsible, reliable, and hard-working
- Must pass a quick assessment of attitude and reliability during initial contact
Pay
$25 per hour minimum; bonus money available if the quality and quantity of work meet expectations.
Schedule
Part-time; hours and days to be arranged based on mutual availability.
Tools & Supplies
I will purchase all necessary protective gear and cleaning supplies. I’m also willing to buy additional tools if needed to complete the job properly.
