About the Role
TripleTen, an EdTech company specializing in tech career learning programs for the US and Latin American markets, is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineering instructor. This fully remote role involves teaching and reviewing, with a focus on deploying AI systems in client environments. You'll host live events, provide engineering feedback, and set the technical standard for supporting instructors.
Responsibilities
- Host live events focused on deploying AI systems inside a client's environment, covering discovery, scoping, architecture, integration, rollout, and adoption.
- Run 1:1 sessions and tech mock interviews for students working on projects.
- Review student projects against rubrics, including client-facing aspects like scoping decisions, demos, and explanations for non-technical stakeholders.
- Set the technical standard for supporting instructors and act as their escalation point.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional engineering experience, currently at a senior level or above (Senior/Lead/Staff Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Architect, or technical lead on customer-facing delivery).
- Personal experience owning deployments end-to-end in real client or enterprise environments, from initial call to production go-live and adoption.
- Depth in Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) areas: customer discovery, scoping under ambiguity, stakeholder management, LLM and agent systems (prompting, tool/function calling, orchestration frameworks like LangGraph/LangChain/CrewAI, guardrails, evals, RAG), APIs/integrations (REST, webhooks, JSON/GraphQL), Python, and cloud deployment.
- Ability to explain architecture and scoping decisions, diagnose and critique others' work live.
- Strong technical communication skills, comfortable leading live sessions, whiteboarding, and writing clear feedback.
- Strong English proficiency (C1+), as instruction and review are in English for a US-based audience.
- Comfortable using AI tools in day-to-day technical work.
Preferred Experience
- Previous teaching, mentoring, or technical session experience (e.g., tech talks, onboarding, bootcamp instruction).
- Experience embedded within a customer team as a primary technical resource or in a customer-facing engineering role (solutions engineer, solutions architect, technical consultant).
- Production experience with agentic frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI) and MCP-based tool integrations.
- Work experience at a recognizable company.
- Familiarity with online education platforms or running programs.
What We Offer
- Fully remote work, with live sessions scheduled within US afternoon and evening hours (2:00 PM to 9:00 PM ET).
- A digital office using modern tools (Notion, Slack, Zoom) for smooth collaboration.
- Professional trust and autonomy, with no micromanaging.
- A diverse, international, close-knit team excited to work with you.
Estimated Hours: 15 to 25 hrs/week. Language Requirement: Submit resumes or CVs in English.
