About the role

The FDA Research Fellowship offers the opportunity to work within the FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER), specifically within the Office of Compounding Quality and Compliance. The fellowship focuses on evaluating the current state and historical evolution of the outsourcing facility industry using quantitative analysis and predictive analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Apply quantitative analysis methods to evaluate the current state and historical evolution of the outsourcing facility industry.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and conduct data-driven research projects.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and industry dynamics.
  • Utilize predictive analytics techniques to assess potential opportunities and challenges affecting industry sustainability.
  • Contribute to the development of a final report summarizing research analyses and key conclusions.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in a relevant field.
  • U.S. citizenship or having lived in the United States for at least 36 out of the past 60 months.
  • Read and sign the FDA Education and Training Agreement.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Experience with quantitative analysis and predictive modeling.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Interest in regulatory and strategic considerations related to the pharmaceutical industry.

Skills

Preferred skills include:

  • Knowledge of statistical software (e.g., R, Python).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance issues.
