Responsibilities
- Support daily office tasks: phones, mail, typing, and document handling.
- Create and edit complex documents with technical content and visuals.
- Track budgets, reconcile expenses, and support financial processes.
- Manage project files, reports, timekeeping, and training logs.
- Assist with cost center and job cost setup.
- Resolve administrative issues and proactively identify improvements.
- Fuel Engineering provides the leading support and coordination for reactor core fuel management development, design, licensing, safety analysis, and methods development required to support any commercial PWR reactor design.
- This role will provide general assistance and support to the Site Department Managers for Fuel Materials and Thermal-Mechanics (FDM-A) and Fuel Mechanics (FDE-AL).
- Combined, these departments are comprised of approximately 65 engineers and supervisors.
- Assignments Can Include:
- SAP time approval and reports
- Department specific performance metric collection and reporting
- Coordination of staff and visitor travel, meetings, scheduling, etc. as needed
- Support for hosted meetings in Lynchburg (meeting rooms, refreshments, etc.)
- New employee assimilation - help with computer hardware, phone, office
- Creation and transmittal of department communications, organizational announcements, and delegation notices
- Maintains confidentiality of personnel records and proprietary company files
- Supports engineering document creation, proofreading, editing, processing as requested by staff
- Technical resource for Adobe, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Webex, and other MS Office software as needed
- Attend training to further develop proficiency in MS Office and tools used in the position (i.e. Documentum, SAP, etc.)
- Coverage of other engineering departments within Fuel Engineering
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent education.
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, schedules and files efficiently.
- Prioritize tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Ability to handle unexpected issues and find effective solutions quickly.

Benefits
Total Rewards Package: Salary: $22.00 - $28.80 and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
