FAST Labs - A3 Program Manager I
About the role
FAST Labs innovates science, technology, and engineering breakthroughs for defense, aerospace, power and propulsion, and security industries. This research and development (R&D) business within BAE Systems’ Electronic Systems sector collaborates globally to develop advanced technology in areas such as advanced electronics, autonomy, cyber, electronic warfare, and sensors and processing.
The Program Manager for the A3 product line will manage, coordinate, plan, organize, control, integrate, and execute one or more programs simultaneously, ensuring achievement of financial, schedule, and technical performance objectives. This role supports new business capture as part of proposal development teams and requires strong leadership in ethics, safety, and security. The selected candidate will support programs with employees based in Merrimack, NH and Arlington, VA, interfacing with Contracts, Subcontracts, Finance, Procurement, IT, and Security functions, as well as internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for all aspects of program initiation, planning, and execution (cost, schedule, technical performance, quality, customer engagement, etc.) and ensuring program commitments are met.
- Responsible for program execution, profitability, timeliness, and overall success, making cost-effective decisions to meet financial commitments.
- Develop program/project plans specifying goals, staffing needs, schedule milestones, risks, and contingency plans.
- Assist with managing customer (internal and external) and supplier relationships to maintain high engagement and satisfaction.
- Foster a culture of innovative problem solving, performance excellence, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of experience or Master's degree with 6 years of experience.
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain DoD SCI and SAP Security clearances.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, influencing and shaping team behavior and performance.
- Knowledge of life cycle management, defense contract types, and Earned Value Management.
- Full-time onsite work at a BAE Systems facility due to the need for consistent, in-person collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- RF, EW, and cyber knowledge and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
- PMP certification.
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $132,962 - $226,035. Individual salaries are determined by factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
