About the Role
Provides leadership and development for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties. Sets clear expectations, promotes recognition, and fosters a belonging mindset to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth. Coordinates job-related activities, supports business initiatives, and ensures accountability for results while promoting continuous learning.
Responsibilities
- Leads and develops teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates; touring stores to provide feedback (Tour-to-Teach); communicating business objectives and initiatives; and introducing company change efforts.
- Models exceptional customer service by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing customer service initiatives, resolving customer issues, and implementing process improvements.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, mission, values, and ethics by implementing action plans and supporting the Open Door Policy.
- Drives financial performance and sales by reviewing P&L statements, managing budgets, ensuring effective merchandise presentation, and mitigating shrink to achieve sales and profit goals.
- Embraces diversity and inclusion by fostering a culture of belonging, creating opportunities for associates to thrive, and building strong, trusting relationships.
- Acts with integrity by maintaining high ethical standards, holding oneself and others accountable, and supporting Walmart’s goal of becoming a regenerative company.

Requirements
- 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
- For facilities that sell firearms: successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
- For facilities that sell only ammunition: may require a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility.
- Must attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses, Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) adjustments, and Complex Structure adjustments based on external challenges.
