Farsi Linguist

About the role

Leidos has an opportunity for a Farsi Linguist at Offutt AFB in Omaha, NE. This position is part of a large program supporting Air Combat Command’s (ACC) Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission.

Responsibilities

• Provide written translation of technical and non-technical data
• Write gists and summaries of materials
• Conduct open source research
• Write reports in English
• Respond to requests for information
• Provide the cultural, social, and ethnic context of translations and convey this information in a written format which may include gisting or screening of the total content
• Work cooperatively as a team member
• Work independently with minimal or no oversight

Requirements

• Requires a current DoD TS/SCI with polygraph on day 1
• 4+ years and an Associate's degree (additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
• Meet the minimum language proficiency requirements (within the past 12 months) as defined by the Interagency Language Roundtable scale
• Proficiency with MS Office applications
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with personnel from diverse cultures

Pay

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

Pay Range: $59,150.00 – $106,925.00
