Farmers Market Lead
The City of Bloomington is seeking a Farmers Market Lead to assist with the operation of the weekly Saturday Bloomington Farmers Market and select special events.
About the role
Primary Objective: The City of Bloomington is seeking an individual to assist with operation of weekly Saturday Bloomington Farmers Market and select special events. The position requires working mainly weekends.
Responsibilities
- Work with Farmers Market Coordinator and staff to set up, operate, and take down weekly Saturday Farmers Markets, Midweek Music and Market events, and Winter Indoor Markets.
- Promote programs at the Bloomington Farmers Market.
- Aid in welcoming visitors to programs and delivering program information.
- Assist with other Special Events as needed.
- Represent the City of Bloomington in a positive and professional manner at all times.

- High quality communication skills and ability to interact effectively with the public.
- Ability to work a varied schedule, including primarily weekends.
- Ability to work both independently and with a team.
- Attention to detail, punctual, and dependable.
Benefits
- Commitment Bonus: A seasonal employee who works until at least August 9th will receive a $100 bonus on their final paycheck.

- Ongoing Part-Time employees who are employed for more than 6 months will make contributions to the pension program (PERA) through payroll deductions unless they qualify for one of the exemptions.
- Part-Time employees may receive Paid-time Off (PTO) at a rate outlined in the employee handbook and eligible for paid parental leave after 6 months of employment.
- Temporary/Seasonal employees do not receive benefits outside of Paid-time Off (PTO) at a rate outlined in the employee handbook.
Salary and Schedule
Salary: $18.50 - $20.01 hourly
