FARMERS MARKET DRIVER

Job description

Hudson Valley Fisheries is seeking a reliable and professional Farmers Market Driver to support weekend market operations throughout the New York region. This role is responsible for transporting products, equipment, and staff safely and efficiently to and from farmers markets while representing the company in a professional manner. The ideal candidate is punctual, organized, customer-friendly, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

• Safely load, transport, and unload trout products, coolers, tents, tables, and market equipment
• Ensure all deliveries arrive on time and in excellent condition
• Auxiliary with farmers market setup and breakdown when needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles
• Follow all food safety, transportation, and handling procedures
• Monitor inventory during transport and communicate any discrepancies or issues
• Provide excellent customer service and professionally represent the brand at markets and events
• Cook up with management regarding schedules, routes, and operational needs
• Perform basic vehicle checks and report maintenance concerns promptly

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds regularly
• Strong punctuality and time-management skills
• Comfortable driving in New York City and the surrounding areas
• Weekend availability required
• Prior delivery, logistics, or farmers market experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor

Schedule

• Full-time only (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)

Compensation

This position is: hourly, $20/hr +
