About the role

As a Farm Store Associate at EverGRO, you will take the lead in providing exceptional customer service and supporting store operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customers with friendly and efficient service
  • Process check-out, exchange, and return transactions using point-of-sale equipment
  • Maintain the professional and clean appearance of the store showroom
  • Promote and set up for store events, display modules, and special promotions
  • Cross-train to support warehouse responsibilities, including loading and unloading customer/vendor deliveries
  • Collaborate with team members on various tasks
  • Fill propane cylinders
  • Stock and replenish merchandise, assist with inventory responsibilities
  • Proactively provide solutions to customer questions and challenges
  • Monitor and maintain a welcoming and secure environment
  • Answer calls and assist customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Work safely aligned with the cooperative’s guidelines and regulations

This position involves working both indoors in a storeroom setting and outdoors to assist with customer needs on deliveries and pick-ups. The work schedule varies Monday through Sunday, including potential rotation between opening/closing shifts and weekend shifts.

Requirements

  • No minimum education requirement or years of professional experience
  • Preferred: six months of experience in a retail environment providing customer service and operating point-of-sale equipment
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Willingness and ability to work during operating hours: Mon–Fri, 8 am–6 pm; Saturdays, 8 am–3 pm; and Sundays, 9 am–3 pm
  • Forklift certification or willingness and ability to obtain certification through on-the-job training
  • Able and willing to learn to fill propane tanks
  • Passion and enthusiasm for working with cooperative customers to address their needs
  • Ability to focus and work safely when operating equipment and assisting customers
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong relationship-building and problem-solving abilities
  • Desire to learn, grow, and work as a cross-functional team member with other divisions within EverGRO

Schedule

Part-time, averaging 15–20+ hours per week, depending on store needs. Work schedule varies Monday through Sunday, including potential rotation between opening/closing shifts and weekend shifts.
