Farm Operations Support 1 - Farm Hand/Warehouse (R.D. Offutt Farms)

About the role

This individual will be responsible for repair and maintenance of farm equipment, operating equipment, irrigation maintenance, and other farm and agriculture duties. Work must be completed in a safe, professional, and timely manner with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service equipment as assigned by the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean work area, as well as care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment.
• Maintain technical and product knowledge on all equipment on the farm.
• Operate agriculture and farm equipment and complete work in the potato warehouse.
• Deliver mechanical parts, products, tools, etc. around the farm as needed.
• Demonstrate flexibility to work in a variety of roles dependent on farm needs.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and the employee handbook.
• Conduct self professionally in the presence of customers and the community to represent R.D. Offutt Farms.
• Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.

Requirements

• Previous mechanical experience preferred.
• Previous farm operations experience preferred.
• Ability to assemble and perform maintenance functions on equipment.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Valid work authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
