Fan Shop Sales Associate

Position Purpose

We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Part-Time Sales Associate to join our team at the Concordia University Fan Shop.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide friendly assistance.
• Aid shoppers in finding merchandise and making purchasing decisions.
• Operate the cash register, process payments, and handle returns/exchanges.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including stocking shelves and organizing displays.
• Track inventory and report low-stock or popular items.
• Order new and maintain needed inventory.
• Create and promote ongoing sales, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Assist with online orders and fulfillment if applicable.
• Aid with receiving and returning textbooks for the book program.
• Follow all store policies and procedures, including security and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior retail, sales, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Basic math skills for handling cash and transactions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift merchandise when needed.

Work Schedule

Flexible shifts, including University events.

• All staff and faculty must follow security policies that correspond to the level of sensitivity of the data they handle.
• Staff and faculty should promptly report any security concerns or incidents to designated personnel.
• Maintain security and patching of personal devices connected to the Institutional email.
• Maintain high standards for institutional, staff, faculty, employee, and financial data used for business operations.
