Fan Development Marketing Intern
We are looking for a motivated student or recent graduate to join our marketing team as a Fan Development Marketing Intern for the 2026-27 season. This part-time role supports project management and marketing operations for Utah Mammoth youth programs, including camps, clinics, learn-to-play initiatives, tournaments, community hockey programs, and other youth-focused efforts.
About the role
This internship offers hands-on experience in sports marketing, project management, creative production, youth hockey marketing, and cross-functional collaboration. You will work approximately 30 hours per week through the end of the NHL season, gaining exposure to modern marketing tools such as project management platforms, email marketing systems, and approved AI tools that support research, copywriting, campaign organization, content versioning, and workflow efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day management for Utah Mammoth youth marketing initiatives.
- Assist in coordinating marketing projects for youth programs, camps, clinics, tournaments, learn-to-play programs, community hockey initiatives, and other youth-focused campaigns.
- Help manage project timelines, task lists, deadlines, deliverables, approvals, and status updates.
- Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders to gather project details, deadlines, assets, feedback, and approvals.
- Help traffic creative, copy, digital, email, print, and promotional requests from intake through final delivery.
- Assist with daily or weekly check-ins with members of the creative production team.
- Outline daily or weekly tasks involved in youth marketing projects and help ensure next steps are clearly documented.
- Gather, organize, and distribute production materials, creative assets, copy, program details, and feedback.
- Help ensure marketing deliverables are completed on time, on strategy, and consistent across channels.
- Support the planning and execution of marketing initiatives that drive youth program registrations, engage families, grow participation, and introduce new fans to hockey.
- Provide marketing support to youth hockey, community relations, ticketing, corporate partnerships, game presentation, public relations, and other internal departments as needed.
- Support email marketing communications, including writing, editing, organizing content, building briefs, and assisting with campaign setup.
- Work with the brand creative team to help create persuasive collateral for youth programs, marketing, ticketing, corporate partnerships, game presentation, community relations, and public relations.
- Protect the reputation of the company.

Requirements
- Currently studying or recently graduated in marketing, communications, business, sports management, project management, or a related field.
- Available to work approximately 30 hours per week, including some nights and weekends.
- Previous internship, classwork, volunteer work, or part-time experience in marketing, project management, communications, events, sports, or youth programs preferred.
- Strong interest in sports marketing, youth sports, hockey, project management, or marketing operations.
- Previous marketing experience preferred.
- Experience with project management tools such as Asana is a plus.
- Experience with email marketing preferred. Marketo experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or similar tools is a plus.
