Family Systems Therapist
About the role
The Family Systems Therapy (FST) program at Professional Services Group (PSG) provides intensive home-based individual and family treatment addressing the multiple determinants of delinquent behavior in youth involved with Kenosha County Youth Justice Court. As the Family Systems Therapist, you will work with youth and families through multiple weekly contacts in the home, or other community settings. Our programming follows the Multisystemic Therapy approach, with the Therapist working to understand the function of the youth’s maladaptive behavior, as well as the strengths within the family.
Responsibilities
- Assess the therapeutic needs of clients and create, implement, and evaluate client treatment plans
- Counsel clients and families in accordance with the treatment plan
- Demonstrate knowledge and skill in addressing family system, mental health, parenting, and alcohol/drug issues through individual, family, and/or group counseling
- Organize and facilitate structured group, individual, and/or family activities
- Exercise judgement to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations
- Safely transport clients as needed
Requirements
- Must have a Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or closely related field
- Experience in a related field is preferred

Schedule
Full-time 40 hours per week Monday-Friday. Flexibility for afternoon/evening sessions is required to accommodate family work/school schedules.
