Family Support Specialist
About the role
The Family Support Specialist plays a crucial role in providing best practice, quality clinical services to children, families, and adults. This position ensures all documentation meets payer, state licensing, and HCA standards and guidelines. The specialist communicates with clients, colleagues, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate information, and address complaints.
Responsibilities
- Develop treatment plans with the treatment team and Clinical Supervisor
- Provide individual, group, and family therapeutic interventions and skill-building
- Implement Health Connect America-approved therapeutic interventions as outlined in the treatment plan
- Complete client documentation within established time frames
- Attend and actively participate in weekly Treatment Team meetings
- Link clients and families with specific services and resources as identified in the treatment plan
- Actively recruit new referrals to maintain a full caseload
- Provide 24/7 on-call support for clients as required
- Ensure compliance with all state regulatory bodies and COA standards
- Participate in and complete all assigned training and professional development activities, including E-Learning courses
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in a human services discipline such as Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, or Criminal Justice, along with 1 year of experience working with children (including internships or volunteer experiences) is preferred, OR a BA/BS degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
Qualifications
Must have excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
