Family Support Caregiver Part-time

ProBerco is offering a $1,000.00 New Hire Sign-On Bonus for this part-time role. Pay starts at $16.00 hourly, with shift differentials available based on qualifications and experience.

About the Role

This hourly position provides in-home, recreational, and habilitative services to individuals residing with their families or independently in the community. Hours vary depending on the needs of service recipients. The role involves implementing outcomes, following Prospectus Berco’s policies, and meeting the specific requirements of each service recipient while demonstrating professionalism and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Provide scheduled services in community settings and/or the service recipient’s home, including:
  • Skill development in activities of daily living, education, communication, sensory/motor skills, adaptive behavior, and social skills.
  • Recreational activities and transportation to appointments.
• Deliver services in a supportive, caring, and safe manner, respecting individual needs and promoting independence and growth.
• Follow each service recipient’s Individualized Service Plan (ISP) as written.
• Attend to physical needs, including those requiring specialized training or procedures.

Requirements

• High school education.
• Demonstrated ability to support adults with special needs in a community setting.
• Valid PA Driver’s license.
• Experience implementing outcomes and documentation.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, or hear.
• Occasionally required to sit.
• May lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
• Work primarily indoors in homelike conditions, with occasional outdoor work in seasonal weather.
• Occasional duties in office settings, restaurants, movie theaters, or other community resources.
• Frequent travel by car; noise levels typically quiet to moderate.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
• Safety precautions observed to reduce risk factors (e.g., trips, falls, back care, fire regulations).
