Family Services Coordinator
Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate care with other services to minimize access delays.
- Process incoming referrals and triage patient telephone calls to appropriate resources.
- Collect and update demographic and financial information.
- Investigate pre‑authorizations and obtain insurance approvals.
- Check in patients, process co‑pays, and handle patient charge documents.
- Establish systems and resources to improve processes and efficiency of the patient experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year customer service and/or administrative support experience.
- For staff working in schools: submission of a receipt confirming completion of the OSPI fingerprinting process prior to employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in a health‑care setting or related field.
- Significant experience working with the general public in a health‑care/customer‑service environment.
- Familiarity with other cultures and/or bilingual skills.
Compensation
This position is remote within Washington State (residence in Washington required). The hourly rate ranges from $23.15 to $34.73, based on full‑time employment (2,080 hours per year). Offers are determined by equity, skills, experience, and expertise and may vary within the stated range. Compensation for positions located outside of Seattle may differ.
