Family Practice-Without OB Physician - $175/hourly

About the role

Medix Healthcare Staffing is seeking a physician (MD/DO) to support a federal public health initiative at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia.

Required Schedule

• Tuesday – Saturday | 6:00am – 2:30pm
• Note: Schedule may shift week to week based on flight schedules. On-call coverage may also be required.

Assignment Details

• Pay: Up to $175/hr
• Contract: August 3, 2026 – February 5, 2027
• Location: Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport | Atlanta, Georgia
• Local candidates from the Greater Atlanta area strongly preferred

What You Will Be Doing

• Evaluate travelers referred after initial nursing screening
• Conduct focused public health assessments using established federal protocols
• Provide clinical guidance and oversight to nursing staff
• Collaborate with federal agencies and airport personnel
• Document assessments and public health interventions

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Active unrestricted U.S. medical license
• Board Certified preferred
• Clean malpractice history
• U.S. Citizen — required for federal airport security clearance
• Ability to pass an extensive federal background investigation
• Ability to obtain airport security badging

• Mandatory training in Atlanta (Tuesday through Friday)
