Family Practice - With OB Physician
Position Overview
The physician will provide comprehensive family medicine services for patients of all ages, including prenatal care, labor and delivery, and postpartum care. The ideal candidate is passionate about rural healthcare and comfortable practicing independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team. This role allows physicians to practice at the top of their training while making a lasting impact in a community that values and appreciates its healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive family medicine care across the lifespan
- Deliver prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum obstetric services
- Perform C-sections as part of surgical obstetrics practice
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and specialists
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Participate in shared call coverage
- Optional: Provide Emergency Department coverage if desired
Qualifications
- Education & Training:
- Graduate of an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program
- Training in surgical obstetrics / C-section capability required
- Licenses & Certifications:
- Active or eligible Nebraska medical license
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
- BLS, PALS, and ACLS (required within 3 months of hire)
- ATLS certification required for physicians providing Emergency Department coverage
