Qualifications
- Must hold licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba, or eligible for licensure.
- Current membership in the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
- Certifications must include: Advanced Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Indigenous cultural awareness course (all within 6 months of hire).
- Manitoba Opioid Antagonist Therapy (OAT) course or equivalent is encouraged.
Skills/Abilities
- Strong health assessment and clinical skills are required.
- Excellent leadership, critical thinking and collaborative interpersonal skills.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently, working as a member of a health care team alongside extended practice nurses, paramedics and other allied professionals.
- Must demonstrate an appreciation of Indigenous worldviews, cultures and be sensitive in providing anti-racist, trauma-informed care.
- Must be able to prioritize, manage time effectively and be flexible.
- Must possess a dependable, consistent and reliable work record, including attendance at work.
Compensation
Compensation is remunerated as per Doctors Manitoba Northern Independent Contractor GP Agreement April 1 2023 - March 31 2027.
