About the role

Fairfax Behavioral Health is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our team at the Kirkland Campus. We are a comprehensive mental health and co-occurring addiction treatment provider with over 94 years of service.

Primary Duties

  • Conduct medical assessments, initial H&Ps within 24 hours of admission, follow-ups, and patient discharges for adolescents and adults.
  • Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and other support staff to develop and implement integrated treatment plans that address both mental health and medical issues.
  • Co-manage patients with complex medical comorbidities during their length of stay, alongside Psychiatrists, other mental health providers, and support staff.
  • Provide medical education to patients and their families regarding their medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications that may impact overall health.
  • Provide medical consults as needed in the General Adult units, Mission Resiliency Program (military, veterans, etc.), and Detox/SUD units.

Qualifications

  • Education: NP degree from an accredited and recognized program required.
  • Licensure: Current Washington APRN license in good standing.
  • Credentialing: Meet all credentialing criteria required by participating providers.
  • Experience: 3+ years of prior work experience in a clinical FNP role required (clinical rotations and preceptor hours not included).

  • Salary range: $140,000-$184,000

Work-Life Balance
