About the role

This role involves delivering primary medical care to adult patients while collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations for adult patients.
  • Manage acute and chronic medical conditions within the primary care setting.
  • Provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including Buprenorphine therapy.
  • Assess patient conditions, set treatment goals, and prescribe appropriate interventions.
  • Document clinical findings, treatment plans, and patient progress in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests to guide clinical decision-making.
  • Cook up medical consultations and patient transfers as necessary.

Requirements

  • New York State licensure and registration as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Experience in Primary Care, HIV/AIDS management, harm reduction, and Buprenorphine treatment.
  • Certification in Nursing practice or expertise in HIV/AIDS medicine.
  • Preferred experience with electronic health records.
  • Visual and auditory acuity for medical procedures and patient interaction.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance.
  • Maintenance of required CMEs/CEUs.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.
