About the role

The position is open for a Family Medicine MD/DO in Coastal Virginia at Bon Secours Western Branch Primary Care in Chesapeake, VA. The practice is located on Taylor Road, 1 mile off I-664, near the MMMBT. It is a full-time position due to practice growth, with a shared call group and no hospital requirements. New graduates are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team environment with 3 MDs and 4 NPs, each with 1:1 CMA support
• Offer point-of-care testing, phlebotomy, EKG, and lab services
• Utilize Epic EMR, MyChart telemedicine, and DAX Copilot
• Focus on patient care in real-time with minimal after-hours charting
• Manage an average of 18-24 patients per day after ramp-up period

Requirements

• Completed U.S. Residency Program
• BE or BC by the ABMS (ABIM, ABFM)
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine
• Experience in primary care preferred

Skills

• Effective communication skills
• Strong clinical judgment
• Ability to manage a busy caseload
