About the role
The position is a new addition to the MercyOne Elkader Family Medicine and Medical Center in Elkader, Iowa. It supports the growth of the community and involves working alongside two Nurse Practitioners.
Responsibilities
- 36 patient contact hours shared between Elkader and Monona clinics
- PAID hospital (ED/Inpatient) night call 1-2 times per month
- Treatment of 15-20 patients daily
- Led leadership opportunities
Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine Physician
- Experience in a rural setting preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Current license to practice medicine in Iowa
- Completion of an approved residency program in Family Medicine
