Family Medicine Physician

About the role

Part-time position with a national wound physician group, offering clinical satisfaction, autonomy, and flexibility with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities. Physicians provide bedside wound care in skilled nursing facilities and long-term acute care hospitals across 28 states.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside wound management in post-acute care settings (Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals)
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each assigned facility
• Visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients per day
• Complete clinical documentation at point of care in real-time during clinical rounds using proprietary wound-specific EMR

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in Virginia
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week for part-time role
• Mobile practice: visit facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of Charlottesville, VA

Qualifications

• Wound management training provided during onboarding + 6-month wound care fellowship
• Learn from highly qualified wound certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors
• Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and latest wound care modalities

Schedule

• Part-time role: minimum of 3 days per week
• Full-time role: 4–5 days per week
• Full-time schedule: Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm
• No call, no weekend clinical responsibilities

Pay

W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits.
