Responsibilities
- Cover labor & delivery including surgical coverage.
- Additional duties may include hospitalist work, continuity clinic, or specialty clinics, depending on qualifications.
- Teaching & Education: Opportunity to work with a diverse faculty and train future healthcare providers for underserved populations.
- Research: Encouraged to develop scholarly interest and produce scholarly work (e.g., national presentations, manuscript submissions every 1-2 years).
- Supervision: Likely to supervise Advanced Practice Providers.
- Institutional Citizenship: Improve access, cost, quality, and health outcomes. Engage in community outreach, attend professional events to assist with program and relationship development, and maintain timely documentation and satisfaction metrics.
Requirements
- MD or DO required.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
- Completed ACGME-approved 3-year family medicine residency with strong perinatal healthcare training.
- Fellowship training in operative obstetrics is mandatory.
- Desirable: Additional fellowship training and/or an advanced degree (e.g. MPH).
