Family Medicine-OB Physician
About the role
The Family Medicine-OB Physician position is available at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel, a 193-bed hospital in central Florida. The program started in July 2024 with 8 residents per program year. We are seeking a Family Medicine with Obstetrics physician who desires to be part of a growing program, passionate about medical education, and prioritizes collaboration, quality of care, and the patient and resident experience.
Responsibilities
- Full-time split schedule of resident supervision, personal clinical, and administrative time
- Work with Program Director on program accreditation, resident recruitment, rotation scheduling, curriculum development, and resident coaching
- Serve as a member of the program evaluation committee and clinical competency committee
- Perform additional academic and clinical duties as assigned by the program director
- Demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Model professionalism for residents, medical students, and clinical staff
- Possess excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office and the EPIC EMR
- Administer and maintain an educational environment conducive to educating residents in each of the ACGME competency areas
Requirements
- BC/BE Family Medicine with Obstetrics
- Desire to be part of a growing program
- Passion for medical education
- Prioritization of collaboration, quality of care, and patient/resident experience
- Experience in academic medicine
- Strong communication skills
Qualifications
- Equivalent educational qualifications may be acceptable by the FM Review Committee of the ACGME

Pay
Compensation package with competitive base salary, signing bonus, and moving expenses.
Schedule
Call will be 1:3 from home or office and one weekend of call a month.
