About the Role
Join Caring Health Center as a Family Medicine Physician and deliver whole-person primary care across all ages in a community that depends on us every day. This outpatient-only role offers a collaborative team culture and access to federal loan repayment programs.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care services within your area of expertise.
- Assess, plan, document, and evaluate patient needs and treatments, ensuring appropriate follow-up.
- Maintain a culturally and linguistically sensitive practice, using interpreters and other assistance as needed.
- Design a plan of care based on assessment of physical, emotional, and social needs in collaboration with the patient and, if appropriate, the family.
- Refer patients to specialists, other practitioners, and facilities as needed.
- Review patient charts to ensure appropriate treatment plans are developed and followed.
- Collaborate with other caregivers on patient education and rehabilitation, promoting mental and physical health.
- Serve on-call rotations as scheduled.
- Cooperate with CHC administration to monitor and improve the quality of patient care.
- Demonstrate sensitivity and respond appropriately to verbal and non-verbal communications from patients, families, and co-workers.
- Maintain patient privacy and dignity in all communications and care provision.
- Utilize tact, courtesy, patience, and discretion in interactions with others.
- Attend and actively participate in scheduled staff meetings.
- Participate in professional staff teaching, both formal and informal.
- Maintain clinical competence through ongoing medical education and training.
- Maintain associate privileges at local hospitals (Baystate, Mercy).
Requirements
- Unrestricted Massachusetts medical license.
- M.D. degree.
- Completion of three years post-graduate residency training in an accredited Family Medicine residency program.
- Board eligibility in Family Medicine.
- Current DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substances registrations.
- Demonstrated ability to provide quality care in a high-volume, multicultural Health Center setting.
- Qualification for unrestricted admitting privileges at Baystate Medical Center and Mercy Medical Center, and maintenance of such privileges during job tenure.
- Qualification as a provider for major insurers.

Desirable Skills
- Board Certification in Family Medicine.
- Fluency in Spanish, Russian, or Vietnamese.
- Special expertise in providing healthcare to underserved, culturally diverse populations.
