FAMILY LAW STAFF ATTORNEY (Worcester)
About the role
The Family Law Unit at Community Legal Aid (CLA) is seeking an attorney to provide free legal assistance to clients facing family law issues such as divorce, child support, visitation, and custody. The ideal candidate will have experience working with clients who are survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other crimes. The attorney will handle a significant caseload, engage in community outreach, and collaborate with domestic violence service providers.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with family law matters including divorce, child support, visitation, and custody
- Provide legal representation to clients who are survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other crimes
- Engage in community outreach and education
- Collaborate with domestic violence service providers
- Conduct some grant reporting activities
Requirements
- J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school
- Admission to practice law in Massachusetts
- Experience in family law, particularly with clients who have experienced domestic violence or other crimes
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
