About the role
We are seeking a full-time Paralegal to join our family law team. This position serves as administrative and legal support to the firm’s Family Law Attorneys, working closely with the supervising attorney. The role involves direct contact and communication with clients, preparing legal documents and pleadings for court, organizing client portfolios, analyzing discovery documents and financial data, and performing essential administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is client-centric, collaborative, and possesses strong interpersonal and multitasking skills with a proactive and empathetic approach to confidential client matters.
Responsibilities
- Obtain legal documents.
- Perform administrative and client service functions.
- Conduct basic legal research.
- Assist with drafting and completion of necessary documentation.
- Assist with filing legal documents.
- Manage databases and files.
- Communicate regularly with clients.
- Assist with other essential functions as assigned.
Requirements
- Prior paralegal or legal assistant experience (required).
- Prior Family Law experience (preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work well independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and curiosity to learn.
- Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field (required).
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
