Position Overview

KidsPeace is seeking a Family Consultant to support children and families in foster care. This role involves assessing family needs, ensuring child safety, coordinating services, and facilitating engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective case management services, including scheduling counseling sessions, ensuring medical and dental exams, tracking services, and completing documentation.
  • Conduct weekly casework contacts, focusing on treatment goals and building supportive relationships with youth and families.
  • Assess family strengths and needs, identify problem areas, and utilize appropriate treatment modalities and resources.
  • Facilitate engagement and communication among youth, families, and foster families through various methods.
  • Affirm permanency planning, including reunification efforts.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and service providers to address educational, medical, and mental health needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • 2 years experience working with Child and Family Services.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • First Aid/CPR certification required.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to work collaboratively, strong communication skills, and attention to detail.
