Position Overview
KidsPeace is seeking a Family Consultant to support children and families in foster care. This role involves assessing family needs, ensuring child safety, coordinating services, and facilitating engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective case management services, including scheduling counseling sessions, ensuring medical and dental exams, tracking services, and completing documentation.
- Conduct weekly casework contacts, focusing on treatment goals and building supportive relationships with youth and families.
- Assess family strengths and needs, identify problem areas, and utilize appropriate treatment modalities and resources.
- Facilitate engagement and communication among youth, families, and foster families through various methods.
- Affirm permanency planning, including reunification efforts.
- Collaborate with other agencies and service providers to address educational, medical, and mental health needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
- 2 years experience working with Child and Family Services.
- Valid driver’s license.
- First Aid/CPR certification required.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to work collaboratively, strong communication skills, and attention to detail.
