About the role
The Osborne Association seeks part-time Family Center Staff Workers to manage Family Centers within Woodbourne Correctional Facility. This is a weekends-only position from 8am to 2pm.
Responsibilities
- Opening prep for the Family Center to ensure it is ready for visiting children
- Serve as supervisor and assist with the closing and daily clean-up of the Family Center area
- Document visitor sign-ins and maintain accurate records
- Welcome visitors to the Family Centers and maintain a safe, fun, and accessible environment
- Maintain and update the inventory supply list for the Family Centers
- Report any observed behavioral, health, or developmental changes to the Program Coordinator
- Build and maintain family relationships by promoting interactive play among family members
- Collaborate with co-workers and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with families or children
- Dependable and professional demeanor
- Willingness to utilize creative skills for arts/crafts
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with a multicultural population
- Ability to adapt to change
- Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
