About the role

Family-Based Intensive Treatment (FIT) is a new service within JRI's Community Service Agencies that provides a combination of medically necessary intensive family therapy, robust care coordination, and Family Partner engagement for eligible youth with serious emotional disturbance (SED) and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Convey passion for helping others as part of a small, dedicated team (inclusive of a FIT Clinician and a Family Partner) working with youth and families.
  • Focus on improving the youth’s mental health concerns, while strengthening the family structure and support.
  • Provide the FIT service in home and community settings and facilitate a consistent, strength-based therapeutic relationship with the families we serve.
  • Support families in navigating multiple systems of care and enable parents and caregivers to learn effective advocacy skills.
  • Support the clinical care of youth and their families in a home and community-based setting, effectively promoting improved family functioning.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Applicants must have a minimum of an associate’s degree in a human services field and 1 year of experience working with the target population; or a high school diploma/GED and 2 years of experience working with the target population.
  • Must have lived experience as a parent or caregiver of a youth with emotional, behavioral or learning challenges and experience accessing systems for support for your child’s needs.
  • Maintains a valid driver’s license.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $19.00 to $32.50 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications.

Schedule

This position covers the Merrimack Valley region and requires availability to work from the afternoons into the evenings. While weekend hours are available, they are not mandatory. The scheduling for this role is flexible and will be adjusted based on your availability as well as that of the client or family.
