Responsibilities

• Assists the Case Manager to implement Safety Services and Support Plans.
• Provides direct support and assistance to parents and their children in their homes or in community-based settings.
• Serves as a resource for immediate family engagement, 24/7 crisis response, professional team approach to family preservation, skills training, intensive case management, and hands-on assistance to help manage danger threats in the home.
• Supports ongoing resource support including food, housing, clothing, medical, daycare, counseling, and transportation to appointments as appropriate.
• Ensures families have the resources they need to quickly stabilize and build into strong, healthy, and safe households, where children can excel and grow into confident and productive individuals.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years working with at-risk children and families, child welfare, case management, social work, direct support, or related experience required.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license required.
• Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Test and TB Test.
• Successfully pass a Level 2 background screening with the State of Florida.

Qualifications

• Education Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of child development and family dynamics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

Salary: Starts at $17.50 - $19.95 / hr (rate is based on education and relevant experience).

This is a position is eligible for up to a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

Schedule

Full time; Flexible schedule; this is NOT a 9-5 position.

Location

This position is based out of Daytona, FL: providing field-based services throughout Volusia County.
