Family Advocate

Role: Parent Resource Advocate Location: Norfolk, NE Responsibilities Utilize knowledge of lifespan disability services and supports across the region.Participate effectively in multidisciplinary medical clinics.Assist families in navigating service delivery systems, including medical, school, transition (up to age 21), and health and welfare services.Provide peer-to-peer mentoring to support families of children or youth with special health care needs (CYSHCN) and disabilities. Qualifications & Skills Personal experience with navigating disability service systems.Background in multidisciplinary medical and service programs.Strong communication and mentoring abilities.Preference for candidates who are parents or family members of CYSHCN or children with disabilities.
