Family Advocate

About the role

The RPC's Early Childhood Education Center is seeking a Family Advocate to provide family support and child health services to families with children from birth to 5 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide family support and child health services to families with children from birth to 5 years old.
• Engage families in services for themselves and their child, maintain records of services provided, and support family-identified goals.
• Develop a positive classroom environment for the children that makes learning engaging, effective, and fun.
• Work with children up to 60 pounds in an emergency.
• Ability to lift children up to 60 pounds in an emergency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Services or Human Development or a related field with 2 years of Case Management Experience.
• Ability to fulfill DCFS requirements for personnel, including a physical exam, immunizations, and a criminal record check.
• Basic computer competency.
• Valid drivers license.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• Prior experience with working with children in an early childhood program is preferred.

Pay

Starting Hourly Wage:

• Familial Advocate Credential: $19.58 - $20.60
• AA: $20.60 - $21.64
• BA: $22.88 - $23.91
• MA: $24.62 - $25.65
• DOQ (Depending On Qualifications)

Schedule

Full-Time/Year-Round
Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (M-F)
