Responsibilities
- Helps to teach skills, lead practices, and help run sideline cheer during games.
- Affords support and encouragement to students participating in the athletics program.
- Enforces safety rules and standards, models positive behavior, and upholds fair play.
- Trains students in the basic skills necessary for the assigned sport.
- Works with staff volunteers and assists in planning, executing awards ceremonies, and ensuring all documentation is submitted.
Qualifications
- Previous experience coaching in a similar sport is strongly preferred.
- Experience in teaching and coaching techniques appropriate to the sport assigned is preferred.
- Ability to acquire First Aid, CPR, AED, and Concussion training certifications.
- Ability to acquire training as required by the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA).
- Possession of a valid Driver’s License, if transporting students.
- Availability to attend activities, practices, games, and meetings outside of school hours as necessary.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Ability to relate well to others.
Supervision
- Coaches Assistants, if any assigned.

To be completed by Athletic Director.
Terms of Employment
- Stipend as negotiated per agreement.
