About the role

The intern will assist Foreign Policy magazine's social media and creative teams. Duties include drafting copy for FP’s social media accounts, editing video, selecting photos, and collaborating on editorial projects. Occasional collaboration with FP Live may also be included.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting copy for FP’s social media accounts
  • Editing video
  • Selecting photos
  • Collaborating with both teams on editorial projects
  • Occasional collaboration with FP Live for pre-interview research and social clips

Requirements

  • Demonstrated interest in social media with the ability to synthesize complex information into engaging social posts
  • Experience in video production and editing with a strong understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Background in visual communication; ability to follow brand guidelines, including typography use and image selection
  • Solid understanding of international relations and politics
  • Enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor’s or master’s program
