Fall Intro to Sports Coach & Director

About the role

Fall Youth Sports Coach positions are available for both Tots Coach and General Coach tracks. These roles are part-time, in-person positions starting mid-August through September, with flexible scheduling across multiple Treasure Valley communities.

Responsibilities

• Lead small groups of children through age-appropriate, skill-based sessions using Skyhawks' proven curriculum.
• Create genuine relationships with the kids in your program and the parents who trust you with them.
• Show up prepared, communicate clearly, and represent Skyhawks with love for kids, coaches, and community.
• Help set up and manage equipment in a safe, organized environment.

Requirements

• Genuinely good with kids and shows it without being told to.
• Reliability matters more than a resume. Show up, follow through, and grow.
• A sport background is valued, but a coaching heart is required.
• Availability for at least one consistent day per week, with flexibility to grow into more as you settle in.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation across the Treasure Valley.

Qualifications

• Experience in parenting, childcare, early childhood education, or preschool is fully valued here.
• Comfortable leading kids who are old enough to have opinions and young enough to still need a lot of encouragement.
• Understanding that the way you show up on the field says something to every kid and every parent watching.

Skills

• Ability to lead small groups of children through age-appropriate, skill-based sessions.
