About the role

Shaw Industries Group, Inc. is seeking a dynamic intern or co-op student with a passion for supply chain management. Ideal candidates will bring enthusiasm for process improvement, data analysis, and collaborative problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance flow, reduce waste, and increase throughput
  • Analyze data to identify trends, support decision-making, and improve reporting accuracy
  • Conduct operational audits and time studies to establish baseline performance metrics
  • Update systems and documentation for standardized work and training
  • Create layout updates using CAD tools to reflect current operations
  • Review inventory and material flow to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Collaborate on cross-functional projects with manufacturing, logistics, planning, and quality teams
  • Engage in continuous improvement activities aligned with Shaw's operational excellence goals

Requirements

  • Minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Completion of at least 3 semesters of college coursework
  • Full-time student registered with your university’s co-op or career services office
  • Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Analytics, or a related field
