Intern Expectations
All Interns are expected to work 24-29.9 hours a week during the session. While each Intern will be working with a specific division, they will have the opportunity to learn about other areas within Excel, through lunch and learns held throughout the semester.
Important Dates
The Fall Program runs from Monday, September 14th, 2026 through Thursday, December 10th, 2026. Office Hours are 9:00 am - 6:00 PM CT, Monday-Friday OR as agreed upon with advisor. Days in office must be coordinated with Advisor’s schedules.
Requirements
- Be available to work under 30 hours per week.
- Be available to report to the Dallas office approximately 3-days a week.
- Have a senior standing in college (must have completed your junior year of undergrad)
- Be enrolled in a graduate school
- Have a bachelor’s or postgraduate degree.
Interview Process
Applications will close on August 14th, 2026. If selected, the expectation is that offers will be extended mid to late August. The program will begin on September 14th, 2026.
Search and Advisory Intern Expectations
- Adhere to proposed project timelines, including collaborating with internal and administrative team members to deliver projects in a timely manner
- Prepare key search documents, including Search Timelines, Position Specifications, Emerging Profile Reports, Long Lists, and Short Lists
- Organize and maintain CRM systems. Assist recruiters in inputting candidate information and keeping assignments up to date
- Conduct research and prepare documents and presentations to aid in the acquisition of new clients
- Assist in client relationship management, including sourcing and sending client gifts, drafting communications, identifying outreach opportunities
- Manage internal utilization reports to track team capacity and project progress
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including sales, accounting, and creative—on various internal and client-facing projects
- Prepare document user guides to aid in process improvement and consistency for our team
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: experience using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required. Experience with CRM tools is a plus but not required
- Possess strong project management skills. Must have the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and exercise flexibility as needed
- Outstanding organizational skills; aptitude to coordinate multiple streams of work independently with critical attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, writing in a clear and compelling manner
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- A proactive and resourceful mindset; eager to learn and take initiative
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting with internal teams and external clients
- Possess a keen attention to detail and desire for polished and professional results
- Proven ability to conduct research, synthesize information, and prepare clear, concise reports or presentations
Pay
The pay for this position is: $15.00 per hour. Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the California and New York City Salary Transparency Law.
